These little turquoise tabs are on my worktable right now, natural pieces from the Kingman, AZ and Carico Lake, NV mines. Yesterday I was really under the weather--truth to tell, I've been having a lot of health issues this year--and I just started grinding natural nuggets into prehistoric southwestern-style tabs on my sandstone blocks. At the end of the day I had twelve, and this morning I've been giving them their final shaping and polish. I still have no idea how they will go into a piece, but think they would look good lined up in a choker-length necklace, as they would have been traditionally worn. We'll see...
