A really nice old bone piece anchors this long necklace; I’ve kept it in my collection just to look at for a while. I don’t know much about it but believe it’s from Africa, and it has a great polish and patina that only come from wear and age. It’s on a long strand of tiny 2 mm faceted mother of pearl beads alternating with antique French metal beads I salvaged from an old woven panel. The few accent beads scattered in include my own handmade fine silver nugget, Czech glass, and African bone.

The bone talisman hangs from a loop of the antique French metal beads. In a stack above it is a bone mala bead, African ostrich eggshell, and a fine silver PMC disc I molded from Quebradas, New Mexico fossil rock over 300 million years old. The necklace is strung on professional grade beading wire with the crimp beads concealed beneath a sterling silver wire wrap.

SIZE: 21” from the back of your neck to the end of the pendant when worn. The bone pendant is 3 3/4” long.

CARE:  Rinse the beads in cool water to clean and gently blot dry. Wipe the bone pendant with a soft, damp cloth to clean it. You can use a silver polishing cloth followed by a clean, damp cloth to brighten the silver beads if they darken.

PRESENTATION: This necklace will come to you beautifully giftwrapped in an earth-friendly and recycled gift box.  Please see the Shop Policies below for details.
